Leave time to clean up, walk the waterfront, and confirm the evening restaurant instead of adding a second exposed boat or paddle trip.

Reserve dinner at Island Hotel Restaurant.
Inside an 1859 hotel, the dining room serves seafood, steaks, and its signature hearts-of-palm salad amid historic murals and period furnishings.
Sunday
Bird Lower Suwannee, then leave by State Road 24.
Check refuge notices, spend the cooler morning on a wildlife drive or short trail, and return through Cedar Key only if lunch fits the departure drive.
